THE DALAGA SISTERS
“Dalaga” is a Filipino word that owners, Mary and Michelle’s father affectionately called the inseparable twosome in their stylish formative years. To them “Dalaga” means to be a young woman in her prime. This nod to their childhood and Filipino roots was the perfect name for the store they had been dreaming of opening since they played shop keep in their mother’s closet.
Named “Best Dresses” by New York Magazine and Brooklyn’s #1 Classic Boutique by Refinery29, it was the first retail store front to open on the now thriving Franklin Street.
